Aussie Bird Backyard Count
- October 18 - 24
Have you seen birds in your yard, in the garden or when you are out and about? You can use your spotting skills this week with Birdlife Australia's Aussie Bird Backyard Count!
Participants must count how many birds they see for 20 minutes a day, and log them on the Aussie Bird Count app. The app can be downloaded for Apple and Android phones. The data allows Birdlife Australia to track bird populations in different areas.
Oktoberfest
- Wednesday to Saturday, Southern Highlands Brewing and Taphouse
Get into the Oktoberfest spirit with some Steins of beer and a traditional German feast! The taphouse recommends you come on weekends where staff also get festive. Bookings are essential and can be made here.
Exhibition: Into the Light
- Every Friday and Saturday until December 6 by booking, Whitewall Art Projects
This exhibition showcases artists across the country and shines a spotlight on mental health. Ten per cent of sales will be donated to the chapters Lifeline Macarthur and Lifeline WA.
Visitors over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination when they arrive. Masks must also be worn, and checking in and proof of address must be completed before entering.
Have a picnic at the Southern Highlands Winery
