Land and environment court case for controversial development application deferred
A controversial development application that was set to appear in the Land and Environment Court on October 14 has been deferred. The hearing for Winifred West Schools v Wingecarribee Shire Council over the bush accommodation in the Lower Holt area was delayed by Frensham Schools.
Travel ban extended as regions remain a no-go zone for Greater Sydney residents, and vice versa
Travel between the regions and Greater Sydney has been pushed out by another two weeks. Welcome to Ngununggula: the new regional gallery that's "for everyone"
Ngununggula has been ready and waiting with its first solo exhibition installed as restrictions continued, but now have thrown open the doors, at least to the double-vaccinated locals who will have it to themselves for a couple of weeks. The culmination of years of work from many people, the gallery is located in an old dairy on the National Trust property Retford Park, which has been painstakingly transformed into a state-of-the-art space.

A Mittagong man has been refused bail after allegedly stabbing a man in Moss Vale. Bryce Dean Maloney, 21, appeared before Goulburn Local Court on October 15.

Interim administrator announces series of community meetings
Wingecarribee Shire Council's interim administrator, Viv May PSM, has announced a series of community meetings to be held across the shire's towns and villages. A total of 20 meetings will be held between October 20 and December 9, 2021.
