Lackey Park Regional Sporting Hub Update and Sports Facility Strategy
An update will be provided on the Lackey Park Regional Sporting Hub project, including a proposal to provide funding to the Moss Vale District Basketball Association to assist them to progress their element of the project. It is recommended that the project be paused until the progression of design work for the overall Hub project until further strategic work is undertaken.
The Lackey Park Regional Sporting Hun project aims to provide a local sporting hub that creates a sporting precinct with facilities that will attract regional, state and national level sporting events. The proposal involves providing a home ground to several sports clubs and provide competition and/or practice facilities for others.
Post Bushfire Flora Research and Recovery - Acceptance of Grant Funding
A report will formally advise the council of its successful grant application of $44,000 under the NSW Environmental Trust post bushfire flora research and recovery grants program.
The project aims to survey and develop a monitoring program for ten priority plant species across multiple land tenures in burnt and unburnt landscapes within Wingecarribee Local Government Area.
This survey effort will potentially create new or updated BioNet Atlas records and herbarium collections and the establishment of baseline data will feed directly into new or existing biodiversity or NSW Saving Our Species (SOS) research projects.
