The total number of cases in the Wingecarribee local government area remains at 47 since the current outbreak began in June.

The Southern NSW Local Health District recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in Goulburn, both of which are under investigation.

Nine new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Queanbeyan, five are linked to known cases and four are under investigation.

One new case of COVID-19 was recorded in Googong and is under investigation.

A further six cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the SNSWLHD district in Narooma, Cooma, Jindabyne, Dalmeny and Batemans Bay.

This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 150 since the start of the current outbreak in June.

NSW Minister for Health Brad Hazzard said people in the regions must understand the importance of getting testing and vaccinated.

"If you have any symptoms or have been close contacts of people identified as close contacts you must get tested," he said.

"Vaccination is the way out. It is the single most important step to protect yourself, family and community. Please get advice from your doctor, not social media."

Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant urged everyone to get vaccinated.

"Anyone over the age of 12 please get vaccinated," she said.

Across NSW, 863 cases of COVID-19 were recorded, and more than 120,000 people were tested for the virus in the 24 hours up to September 27, 8 pm.

Residents should be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19 including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.

If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.
