Golf is one of the few sports still able to operate in the Southern Highlands. This has been a boon for local golf clubs.

Bowral Golf Club secretary manager Kevin Kenny has seen an increase in new players and memberships with competitions going very strong.
Currently on average 130 players are teeing off on Saturdays at the club.
"Financially we are in a very strong position at the moment," Mr Kenny said.
"COVID has been a shot in the arm for us."
As a result, the clubhouse and the grounds are undergoing renovations. This includes drainage works for the course and a face-lift for the clubhouse.
"When COVID-19 first hit we were very stressed," Mr Kenny said.
However, the ability to remain open "gave [the club] a flurry of income" and a record profit last financial year.
Golf can currently be played in the region as long as social distancing is observed.
