The most vital part of your renovation or rebuild is ensuring all your electrical needs are in the hands of a professional, who will finish the job on time while ensuring all compliances are met. All electrical installations work must be carried out by someone who has the knowledge, skill and experience needed to avoid any danger occuring to not only themselves, but to others as well.
That's where Eddy Cullen Electrical comes in.
Whether it's for a residential site, commercial or any general electrical service, Eddy Cullen Electrical are the experts in this field.
Director Eddy Cullen said his business started in 2019 and together with his two apprentices they are kept busy installing lighting, TV and antenna's, data communications, lighting, fans and much, much more.
These specialist electricians can install your hot water system, fix power faults, lighting faults and put in new power points and help you upgrade your home.
Eddy knows a thing or two about his business and is able to give sound advice when it comes to installations and the costs involved as well as safety features.
"Often I come into a customers houses to replace the older halogen downlights and put in new LED lights. The benefits to doing this is that the LED downlights run a lot cooler than the old halogen style which is less likely to be a fire hazard.
"The newer lights also use about one-fifth of the power of an old halogen downlight which is much more energy efficient," Eddy said
"As we get closer to summer we start installing a lot of fans in customers houses which helps keep them cool over summer."
"Often I get calls after customers receive their first winter power bill and they find it is very high. Customers need to be aware that electric heating does consume a lot of power and if they are using old style bar heaters it may be time to upgrade to something more energy efficient."
Eddy said when the pandemic hit last year noticed an uptick in the amount of people upgrading their homes.
"I definitely saw a boom in people wanting to finish off those jobs off at home that they have wanted to do for years but they never got around to doing. People are spending more time at home, which has been great for the trade."
Eddy and his family love the Southern Highlands. "I moved from Sydney with my family about five years ago, because we found it hard to afford a house there. So to come down here where we could get a house and have some space for ourselves has been great. It was also good to get a tree change and out of the Sydney rat race. It's a great area to raise a family and there are good schools and after-school activities for my daughter, so its been a good move."
