The Loaded Dog Hotel in the NSW Southern Tablelands town of Tarago is being sold via an expression of interest campaign.
The freehold asset vendors are publicans Mark and Nicole Ryan, who are selling after a 16-year tenure at the pub.
Earlier this year, the Ryans leased the Loaded Dog Hotel business out to the family's long-term managers.
The pub, which is an entry level freehold hotel with long-term lease, includes five valuable gaming entitlements and features a bar, bistro, gaming room, large beer garden and 11 pub rooms.
The Loaded Dog Hotel, which includes a detached self-contained manager's accommodation, is the only pub in town and is popular with daytrippers and motorcycle groups.
Tarago was officially founded in 1827 and, because it was on the only road into the Queanbeyan and Canberra valley at the time, it became a busy centre which included the Lake Bathurst Hotel (now the Loaded Dog Hotel).
In the early 1860s, infamous bushranger Frank Gardiner invited the Clark Brothers and the equally infamous Ben Hall to meet at the pub to discuss a major robbery.
Appointed to manage the campaign, closing at midday on Thursday, October 7, are HTL Property directors Blake Edwards and Sam Handy.
"We expect this asset will be well received by the market due to the very clear popularity of leased hotel investments," Mr Edwards said.
HTL Property has sold 38 regional pubs this year alone, in what has been the busiest year for regional hotel transactions in history.
