Mr Barilaro said the fives cases were linked to one another.
According to the NSW Health website, Ashcroft IGA in Moss Vale is a venue of concern.
Anyone who was there on Monday August 30, between 4:15pm to 4:45pm is asked to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is returned.
When asked why there was a delay in reporting COVID information, Mr Barilaro said there were several reasons why information was delayed.
"It's very complex, [contact tracers] also have to investigate and we have cases at the moment where individuals aren't cooperative," he said.
"They don't give us information and it is difficult for us to put any information out.
"I accept that sometimes the information is not timely but it's difficult for many reasons."
Currently there are eight COVID-19 positive cases in the 2575 postcode, three in the 2576 postcode and one positive case in the 2579 postcode.
Virus fragments were also detected in the Mittagong and Bowral sewage treatment on September 2, 2021.
Across NSW, 1480 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and more130,000 people were tested up until September 7 8 pm.
It remains vital that anyone who has any symptoms or is a close or casual contact of a person with COVID-19, isolates and is tested immediately.
