Hear from experienced elders including Gundungurra elder Aunty Trish Levett; Caretaker of sacred Myall Creek Massacre site Uncle Brian Donnelly; Nambri elder Uncle Shane Mortimer; and senior elder Uncle Colin Isaacs who teaches how to be truly Australian in this ancient land of 80,000 years of caring culture.
As Uncle Colin Isaacs defines it as (Re)Conciliation is nation building. How do relatively new arrivals (many of us from Europe and other places, others who have lost contact with culture) become wedded to this country and live a life caring for country and one another?
This years theme is 'Caring for country, caring for each other, overcoming authoritarian and destructive times.'
The election of office bearers will be held during the meeting. Positions include chair, co-/deputy chair, secretary, treasurer, and committee.
In order to vote please pay membership dues of just $10 to the WRG account, BSB 802 101, account number 100008630.
It is a great help to have financial members, this shows commitment and voice to government to protect Gundungurra country and community.
Please email payment receipt to WRG treasurer Mike Meldrum at meldrum.mike@gmail.com
