The council secured access to the grants database, entitled Grant Guru, through a licensing agreement with Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI).
The council's general manager Lisa Miscamble explained the benefits.
"The Grant Guru database lists grants and assistance opportunities from all levels of government and private sector partners which are available throughout the Wingecarribee Shire," she said.
"It's a one-stop shop for local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs, local government and not-for-profit organisations to quickly and easily find grant funding opportunities they may be eligible for."
Ms Miscamble said each grant was summarised in a one-page template for easy comparison and includes search, planning and automated notification functionality.
"The portal also has short videos explaining how to use Grant Guru ensuring your grant applications are more strategic and therefore have a greater chance of success," she said.
Ms Miscamble said the database would help Shire organisations maximise opportunities across multiple funding streams and help save time and effort.
"It will ensure Highlanders never miss a grant opportunity again."
