Sadly many will be reflecting on special memories of a father who has passed away.
Others will have to give recognition to their dad from a distance due to the current COVID restrictions across NSW.
Meanwhile, there will be some paying tribute to a step father, grandfather or other special person who has played a significant role in their life.
One thing is certain it is a day to celebrate great father figures everywhere.

In lieu of the chance to get together in person we are calling on readers to share a favourite photo with their dad and a sentence about what they love about the family patriarch to include in a Father's Day gallery.
Our editorial team has decided to kick start the special gallery with their own favourite photos and messages of love.
And as far as tributes are concerned I would like to give one to my father who has passed away. Some of the things I loved most about him were his never-give-up attitude, his cheeky sense of humour, his quirky sayings and the way he loved his grandchildren.
You too can be included in the gallery by sending your photos and messages to briannah.devlin@austcommunitymedia.com.au
