He died in Goulburn recently and was known affectionately as the father of the Bowral Blues.
Dave held the Bowral Blues Rugby League Club together for a very long time, serving not only as a player but more so as Club President for well over 20 years.
He was instrumental in landing the signings of Welsh International player Merv Hicks and Kiwi Test player Olsen Filipaina along with local legend Jim Hindmarsh.
During the 1980s, Bowral Blues were formidable opposition for any team making the trip to Loseby Park with big crowds attending games.
The local derbies against Moss Vale and Mittagong were brutal and fast in those days and enjoyed by all.
He loved rugby league and loved Bowral Blues. At all home games Dave was the first to turn up and last to leave, making sure the Club ran smoothly.
Dave Musset's contribution to Rugby League in Group 6 and Bowral was massive and the game in general is poorer for his loss.
