The local club kicked off 2021 with a celebratory launch in March at Mittagong RSL, eager for the upcoming season.

SHJRLC's inaugural season last year was deemed a success after six teams were in contention to appear in the grand final.

Their vision was to create an inclusive club and foster a sense of community with players and their families and loved ones.

The u9s coach Michael Galvin said that his team had a great performance.

"They performed very well and improved each week," he said.

Galvin said the u9s made a comeback in their last game of the season against the Kiama Junior Knights, after they were beaten by the team in the very first game.

Kiama team defeated the Storms by 42 to 6, but the Storms showed their determination to end on a high and finished with a win of 46 points to 40.

Gavin mentioned it was not only the u9s who played well.

"Players across all teams played with respect for the game, and played hard and fair," Galvin added.
