It was a motivational goal not lost on Berrima youngster Christopher Galwey, 5, and his friend George Turner.
The two adventurous youngsters jumped in with both feet to connect with nature by exploring the Berrima River Walk.
National Tree Day was established in 1996 and has grown into Australia's largest community tree-planting and nature care event.

The program is a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to their community.
It also strives to encourage people to venture outdoors, get to know their community and, most importantly, have fun.
For these two youngsters it was a chance to appreciate the natural beauty on their doorstep in the Southern Highlands.
Christopher's mum, keen photographer Tanya Galwey was on hand to capture the natural appeal of the great outdoors on camera.
