Ms King said the funding from the Federal Government would help to support young veterans and their families towards trauma recovery.
Hume MP Angus Taylor joined Ms King to discuss Quest's trauma related program 'Moving Beyond Trauma' and to acknowledge the funding.
"The grant, from the Supporting Younger Veterans program in collaboration with Australian War Widows Inc, will assist young veterans, their families and widows onto a residential program at Quest," Ms King said.
"Defence personnel and their families are amongst frontline professions who are vulnerable to the debilitating conditions of post-trauma.
"The results from our Moving Beyond Trauma program show a significant improvement in participant's quantified mental wellbeing.
Ms King said Quest for Life was delighted to be recorgnised for the work they do to support trauma-impacted defence personnel and their families.
"This support will go a long way to restoring hope and quality of life to people living with Post Trauma Stress," she said.
"We thank The Hon Darren Chester MP, Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Minister for Defence Personnel for approving this important grant."
