A Covid-19 positive case was identified in the Southern NSW Local Health District which covers the Southern Tablelands in the daily press conference on July 27.
The good news is the person was in Sydney during their entire exposure period, which was confirmed by an SNSWLHD spokesperson.
The SNSWLHD spokesperson said that NSW Health records the person's postcode despite them not necessarily being there at the time.
Harbison Moss Vale introduced temporary visitor restrictions on July 26, as a fully vaccinated staff member was linked to a close contact within their family.
A letter from Harbison chief executive officer David Cochran said Harbison had not been contacted by the Public Health Unit and that Harbison was not a venue of concern.
Mr Cochran said that in accordance with public health advice, the staff member had taken leave until their family member's period of self-isolation was complete.
"We have escalated infection prevention and control precautions in the home," he said.
"We have contacted family members of residents who have recently been cared for the employee and are contacting GPs of those residents to ensure they are aware of the situation.
"We will be testing residents and staff to confirm there has been no transmission, and we will reinstate non-essential visits as soon as we have those test results.
"We are simply exercising caution and following our protocols to minimise risk. I commend our employee for coming forward and identifying themselves as soon as they knew about the close contact in their household."
Currently, there are two known cases of Covid-19 in the Southern Highlands, a doctor who worked in Campbelltown Hospital and his wife. The family has been in isolation.
A second case in Mittagong is no longer shown as active on the NSW Health site.
It was reported on July 23 that Covid-19 virus fragments were found in the Moss Vale sewage treatment plant. The treatment plant detected the virus on July 22 and July 23.
Moss Vale sewage treatment plant services 9,000 residents.
Across NSW, 172 people tested positive for Covid-19, with more than 83,000 people tested as of July 26, 8 pm.
Residents are urged to get tested if they are feeling unwell even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose, scratchy or sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, headache, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, nausea, diarrhoea or muscle aches - to self-isolate and seek Covid-19 testing.
