The Bowral Man Walk has been running for two years and as various sports are postponed in the face of the worsening Covid-19 situation, it remains open to anyone seeking a reprieve.
Bowral organiser Ash Druery said in uncertain times, the Man Walk has the potential to be anything to anyone.
"The thing I've realised is it's not necessarily a mental health walk," Druery told the Southern Highland News.
"It's creating a new tribe, a new set of connections. It's just as important for people who are fit, healthy and flourishing in their lives to come along as people who aren't as fortunate at the moment.
"The people who are struggling need to hear the good stories from people who may have walked their path before. That's why it's so important, it's inclusive of everybody."
While they've temporarily halted the traditional group photo for now, Druery said the walk was taking steps to ensure it can continue.
"It is super important that we continue to do what we're doing but if we get advised to shut it down [we will]," Druery explained.
"We have our own process that we go through. Everyone is responsible for their own health so we just ask everybody if they've been tested not to come along, or if they've been in any hotspot or in any form of isolation not to walk with us."
With three walks weekly, held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings as well as Wednesday afternoons, Druery said they are always ready to meet new people.
"If there is anyone who is missing that mateship or struggling at the moment and just want to have a chat or get outside in a safe environment, come along," he said.
"The beauty of it is there is no sign-up, it doesn't cost anything, it's just a matter of turning up.
"You don't have to engage in a conversation, it might just be a matter of getting out with a group of people you wouldn't normally."
