Camden Police Area Command officers attended a unit on Argyle Street, Picton at 8.50am (Tuesday, July 20 2021), after receiving information from the Australian Federal Police earlier this month, where a 54-year-old man was arrested.
A crime scene was established at the Argyle Street premises and at a home on Wild Street, Picton, police say.
Police say both locations were alleged to contain chemicals and have been secured for processing with assistance from specialist resources including State Crime Command Chemical Operations, Rescue and Bomb Disposal Squad and NSW Fire and Rescue Hazmat.
Officer say the man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.
Police say they have not established any ongoing threat to the community.
