A total of fifty-five local community projects totalling just under $120,000 were allocated funding as part of the annual Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme.
Of the 55 grants allocated, 17 groups received cash donations of up to $600 while the remaining recipients received grants ranging from $1000 to $7000.
The announcement was made at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on July 14, 2021.
Council's interim deputy general manager, Ms Marissa Racomelara, said the spread of grants would benefit dozens of community organisations across the Shire.
"The Community Assistance Scheme allows our community to work with the council by implementing projects that benefit the entire shire," she said.
A presentation ceremony will take place in early August during Local Government Week, subject to COVID-19 restrictions. Further details will be announced in due course.
