Andy Connor, Graham Hunt, Bob Crowley def. Kel Limbrick, Steve Day, Chris Forrester 19-18
This match was a close tussle all the way and at the halfway mark team Forrester had a slender 11-10 lead.
The scores were then locked at 15-all after 16 ends.
With one end to play scores were again tied at 18-all and on the last end team Crowley just got up by one shot.
Eric Willacy, Ted McPhee, Kevin Gould def. Keith Edwards, Glen Giese, Gordon Lewis 25-24
Team Lewis made hard work of the match in the first half to try and keep pace with team Gould, who led 16-10.
The second half was a battle of tactics and on the 16th end team Lewis took the lead 19-18.
But in an impressive display, team Gould came back strong to run out one-shot winners.
