On Tuesday, organisers of Australia's richest bull ride announced their decision to postpone the July 24 event at WIN Entertainment Centre amidst uncertainty of lockdowns across Sydney and Greater Sydney.
Event producer, long-time rodeo man and liver transplant recipient Doug Vickers said 100 percent of profits from the night would still go to assist organ transplant research at the RPA Transplant Institute.
"While we regret the need to postpone this event, we have considered the travel restrictions for competitors and health safety concerns for our fans and decided rescheduling is the best course of action," Mr Vickers said.
"We want to provide Rodeo 4 Life audiences with a night of exceptional entertainment while actively supporting the RPA Transplant Institute. We hope to see a full house of fans enjoying themselves in October."
The sporting spectacular will see daredevil cowboys fight to stay mounted on bucking bulls for a full eight seconds in a bid to win the championship title and $50,000 in prizemoney.
Adding to the thrills is a full-length concert by eight-time Golden Guitar winner Travis Collins, who will perform some of his greatest hits.
Already purchased tickets remain valid or can be refunded if the owners cannot attend the new date.
The Rodeo 4 Life is now on October 23 at the WIN Entertainment Centre. Tickets are still on sale through Ticketmaster.
