Scaliiwags Children's Centre and JumpStart Early Learning Centre owner Lisa McGhee has a few ideas of what your kids can do during the second week.
"Some good ideas include letting your kids draw on the ground using chalk or even building cubby houses," Ms McGhee said.
"Some of my friends have been getting cardboard boxes and making tunnels through the house.
"We've been going on zoom to share our designs.
"I also got my kids to play some cricket and baseball with hands."
Although learning at school may have come to a halt during the break, there's no reason why education can't continue at home through fun and games.
"I like taking away the mindless games from my kids and putting in counting games, puzzles apps on the iPad," she said.
"Just like hiding the vegetables in the dinners, you want to hide all the education in the games they play.
"There are a lot of apps these days that help improve your child's reading, writing and problem solving skills."
With COVID-19 restrictions set to end by the end of the holidays, Ms McGhee said lockdown could affect the younger ones.
"With children in lockdown a lot, everyone is getting frustrated and getting angry a lot easier," she said.
"I think now is the perfect time to talk about dispute resolution to your kids.
"Teach then to get what you want by saying please and thank you.
"These life lessons are definitely coming to the surface more.
"With the older kids, teach them that saying no is just the start.
"How can we negotiate from here?
"How can we give you what you want and how do we get what we want?"
Term three of the schooling year begins on Monday, July 12.
