The outcome was commended by Women's President Pam Andrich, who expressed her appreciation to those bowlers across the state.
"The merger provides the foundation for success and a long-term sustainable and vibrant administration," commented Pam Andrich.
Matthew Goodwin, newly-elected Chair of Bowls New South Wales, further endorsed this sentiment.
"This merger is the first step in securing the long-term future of our sport in NSW," he said.
"It is now vital that the new board move forward and act on the issues that are important to our bowling community."
The new entity, Bowls New South Wales, commenced operations from May 31.
Club News
With the merger of the two bowling associations, what does this mean for Bowral Bowling Club?
Tony Dunn, General Manager of Bowral Bowling Club, has stated the ladies' and men's committee and the club board have yet to meet to decide on changes in playing conditions.
Personally one can see an opening up of all club championships to bowling club members and more participants of women and men in pennant play.
This would make a more vibrant pennant competition so stay tuned for any alterations that the committees and board may announce in the future.
Also, the major pairs will commence this Saturday and Sunday so please check the notice board to see when you are down to play. The heat will be on straight away!
Good to see the nominations in this event as many sides have a chance to become the champions.
