Barry Werfel and Steve Day defeated Kel Limbrick and Owen Williams 17-16 in a low scoring match.
Limbrick and Williams did all the early work with a good selection of shots, racing to an 11-7 lead after eleven ends.
With two ends to play they still held a four-shot lead, 16-12.
But Werfel and Day then scored three shots on the 19th end to trail by one shot, going on to win by one shot.

Team McInerney got away to a perfect start, leading 11-0 after six ends.
The decision to play perfect draw shots had good rewards for Team McInerney who had a comfortable 14-8 lead after 14 ends.
Team Cummins then took possession of the head and won five ends in a row to level the match at 14-14.
However they couldn't find a winning score in the final end, losing by a solitary shot.
