Saturday night saw Narellan post back-to-back wins for the first time this season, following a comfortable win over South West Goannas at Onslow Oval.
The Jets won 60-10, but the scoreline doesn't reflect the effort shown from the home side, in their fourth home game in the top grade this year.
Narellan conceded the opening try of the evening through Goannas fullback Richard Niga, but the Jets then clicked into gear.
Replacement winger for Narellan, Mataiasi Lomu, scored three tries for the Jets, and making a statement of his own for the visitors in their win, bagging all after halftime.
Netane Masima didn't have his kicking boots on for the Jets, making only three conversions from seven attempts, but thankfully it didn't matter, as the visitors cruised to an easy win.
Narellan wingers Leon Longbottom and Eugene Uiliata both bagged doubles for the visitors in their victory, which lifted them to seventh on the ladder, and hot on the heels of Campbelltown City should they continue their mid-season surge.
Sunday afternoon saw a perfect winter's day for the Fourth vs Third matchup at Sid Sharp Oval, with the win vital for both sides, as they looked to secure their position on the ladder.
However, it was predominantly one-way traffic as the Workers took control of the match early, and never let up as they cruised to a 32-point win in front of a small but vocal home crowd.
Addison Demetriou scored a first half double, and ended with three on the day, as the Oakdale attack terrorised the Mittagong defensive line with regularity.
Mittagong started to win some control of the game towards halftime, with Bryson Goodwin scoring and converting his own try, before a penalty goal on the siren saw the teams head to the rooms with Oakdale in front 22-8.
However, that was one of the few highlights for the travelling Lions' supporters, with only one try to Hayden Wallace after the break, as the Workers set sail for another victory.
Mitchell Brasington played well for the Workers, getting himself a double on the day, with his second being a lovely try set up by brother and fullback Matthew.
Mittagong's defence was an issue, with the Workers posting eight tries in the victory, which would have pleased the Oakdale coaching staff of Brendan Reeves and Russell Lewis.
The other Round 8 results saw The Oaks post an important win over their eastern neighbours Camden, winning 44-24 at Dudley Chesham Oval, while Thirlmere recorded an important win with a 36-22 victory over a determined Campbelltown City side at Fullwood Reserve.
