The Bowral Bowling Club auditorium was packed on Saturday afternoon as family, friends and bowlers gathered to celebrate the life of Dan Ticehurst.

The passing of Dan, who was 72, two weeks ago was felt deeply by the club and community.
Dan arrived in our shire in 2007 and, being an avid bowler, soon became involved with the Bowral club. He served as the bowls secretary of the men's section and became very involved in the history of the club.

Friends and family from Newcastle, Bathurst, Sydney and other areas came to pay their respects, showcasing the legacy he leaves behind.
Dan's ashes will be taken to Condoblin where most of his family reside.
A hard-working man, Dan was involved in banking which took him to such places as Trundle, Lake Colgelico, Wagga Wagga and Junee.
Bob Crowley, Gordon Lewis and Elaine Jones gave tributes to Dan, who was involved seven days a week as bowls secretary. Bowral Bowling Club extends its condolences to wife Sue and family.

Although being shortened so players could pay their respects to Dan, there was still some bowls action on Saturday.
Eric Willacy, Paul Leverett def. Terry Norwood, Robin Staples 16-13
Norwood and Staples had a 12-7 lead after 12 ends before Willacy and Leverett scored seven shots in two ends to take a 14-12 lead.
They went on to win by three shots with the match finishing on the 16th end.
