In what may be some people's idea of winter paradise, there's a Pie Time option this month that takes the theme to the next level.
At the Old Bank Hotel in Mittagong, you can snuggle up near the fireplace and indulge in dainty, moreish sweet and savoury pies with a Pie Tea.
Guests can be treated to the sweets and savouries with, or without champagne for every Saturday this month.
Assistant manager Fiona Toner said the Old Bank Hotel decided to "incoporate high tea around the theme for the month. "
"Everyone loves a pie," she said.
"There will be a range of pies, tarts and cakes on offer."
"It's great for celebrations, it is something a bit different."
Mrs Toner revealed that guests can enjoy a changing menu that includes savoury pies such as goat's cheese, caramelised onion and fresh thyme tart, slow-braised duck pie in Shiraz, and spinach triangles with four cheeses.
Sweets include blackberry and star anise friands, chocolate tarts with tahini and seasonal brittle, and scones with homemade strawberry jam and cream.
Mrs Toner's personal favourite is the apple and rhubarb pie which she said is "absolutely delicious".
Guests can enjoy their savouries and desserts with a selection of loose leaf teas and espresso coffee.
The feast costs $50 per person, and $60 per person with the addition of champagne.
Bookings with 10 or more people can indulge in the tea on any day by arrangement.
Bookings can be made by calling 0419 982 191 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
