The road will be closed in both directions, weather permitting, between Bunkers Hill Road and Paddington Lane between 8pm and 4am to recover a vehicle that hit the safety barrier on the side of the road.
Detours will be in place via the Illawarra Highway, Macquarie Pass and Princes Highway.
Motorists are advised to allow an additional 80 minutes travelling time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
