We want to know what the issues are in our local communities, and we need your help!
Over the last fortnight we've engaged with community groups regarding fraud prevention as part of Senior's Week; Youth Week kicked off with a host of activities at PCYCs and public schools; and we talked to Mission Australia about Youth Homelessness Matters Day on April 21.
This week we started a 'Have Your Say' Campaign on Facebook - tell us in one sentence what you see as the most important issue in your local community and what you think police can do to help.
You might be able to work with us to come up with strategies.
We might even run an operation and let you name it!
The police participate in regular community activities, including the suite of programs under the Commissioner's RISEUP initiative, where officers work with at-risk youth to develop skills that will enable them to be fit-for-life, fit-to-learn, fit-for-work or fit-for-service (to name a few).
We focus on early intervention to disrupt crime by diverting young people away from the criminal justice system.
But the PCYC is for everyone.
We want to interact with young people to help develop their potential and become match fit for whatever challenges they may face.

Next month will see a focus on Aboriginal engagement as National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week approach.
If you are a member of the Aboriginal community or you represent an organisation that serves the Aboriginal community, we want to hear from you.
In Goulburn our Police and Aboriginal Consultative Committee Meetings run every two months - next meeting at 11am on Thursday, May 6 at Goulburn Workers Club.
Everyone is invited. Come along and find out about what we do or tell us about your community.
Wherever you are in the district, whoever you are - you are part of our community. There is always someone you can talk to in our organisation.
If you have a business, organisation or community group that wants to engage with police, give us a call or contact us on Facebook.
We are here to talk to you about safety and crime prevention, and we are here to listen.
Be part of the solution.
