ClubGRANTS is an initiative of the NSW Government and Clubs NSW to provide funding for community development projects and services that have a direct impact on residents in the Wingecarribee Shire.
The council's community development coordinator, Ms Cath Brennan, explained that funding was available to community groups, charities and sporting teams across the Shire.
"The ClubsGRANTS Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to raise the profile of their group or project which may otherwise struggle to get off the ground," she said.
"I would encourage local community groups that meet the criteria for funding to make sure they submit an application before the deadline."
Applications should have a strong focus on residents of the Shire and be able to deliver sustainable outcomes. Local priorities for funding should target either older people, young people, children or persons experiencing social disadvantage.
Organisations must be registered as not-for-profit and only projects which directly benefit residents of Wingecarribee Shire will be considered.
