The club has just launched their second season of community-building program Macarthur Square Bulls in Schools, promoting school health and wellness for students through football.
The new season follows a successful inaugural year of school engagement in 2020.
More than 13,000 students across 30 primary and secondary schools across Macarthur and the Southern Highlands went through the program last year.
Macarthur FC football development officer Jacob Poscoliero said a lot of work went into ensuring the program could still go ahead during the pandemic last year.
"2020 was an extremely challenging year for everyone," he said.
"We had to rethink and design the program to suit the restrictions with schools and interacting with students.
"Across all the schools the overwhelming response was extremely positive.
"The students and teachers found the sessions very fun and engaging."
Poscoliero said he hoped the program would be even better this time around.
"This year we are aiming to reach an additional 20 schools and more than 20,000 local school children participating in the program," he said.
Highlighting the club's commitment to diversity, Bulls in Schools last year reached almost 1000 local Indigenous students, and 32 per cent of participants spoke English as a second language.
Macarthur Square is the naming sponsor of the program, which provides students with a free, active and educational program to focus on teamwork, communication, physical movement and a health lifestyle through football.
Macarthur Square centre manager Trevor Hill said they were proud to be involved.
"As Macarthur FC's community sponsor, supporting Bulls in Schools is our way of giving back to the people of of south-west Sydney who have supported Macarthur Square for more than 40 years," he said.
"We're proud to be part of this close-knit community and to be the official home of Macarthur FC."
