The exercise will take place at the cement works and adjacent sports oval between 8 am and 2.30 pm.
Residents and motorists should not be concerned at the presence of multiple emergency service vehicles in the vicinity.
The mock-emergency has been designed to test emergency plans, emergency service response and provide an opportunity for multiple agencies to work together on a complex incident in an industrial environment.
Council's emergency management officers will be joined by officers from NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW State Emergency Services, NSW Ambulance's 'Special Operations Team', Police Rescue Squad and Regional Emergency Management Officers.
There will be no local traffic interruptions however both sites will be closed to the public during the exercise.
Council thanks residents in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary inconvenience.
The Boral Berrima Cement Works is located on Taylor Avenue in New Berrima.
