Last year the mirror flash was cancelled due to COVID019.
The mirror flash is a celebration of the culture and community of the Gundungurra people as they communicate across Gundungurra country to the community in Katoomba. The mirror flash is done without the aid of modern technology.
Enjoy a short bushwalk up Gibbergunyah hill, then participate in culture which includes a smoking ceremony, dance, poetry and learning.
After the mirror flash there will be an opportunity for yarning and stories.
Anyone who wishes to join is asked to meet at the small carpark at Gibbergunyah Reserve at 1 pm to for a short bushwalk to the site at 1:30 pm.
There will be a bus at 1.30pm for those unable to manage the walk.
If anyone is late, they can follow the trail.
