St Joseph's Primary School's year 6 student Jett Edwards was one of the 25 selected in the u13s country boys category this year and will join the TAP camp at Narrabeen from May 5-7.
To be considered, the Moss Vale Magic player had to showcase his skills at a trial in Shoalhaven.
The camp aims to expose selected athletes to the NSW/Australian Style of Play and concepts of play.
It also provides educational opportunities for athletes in the field of nutrition, injury prevention and effective rehabilitation exercises.
General manager of coaching and development Brett Coxsedge said the camp "plays an important role in the development pathway for both country and metro athletes".
The 11-year-old is following in the footsteps of his older brother John Edwards who was selected to play in the Australian Country Basketball Cup in January last year.
Jett hopes to be a professional basketballer one day.
