The Mittagong Cricket Club have taken out the third grade Highlands District Cricket Competition's championship.
Competing against Robertson Cricket Club at Bill O'Reilly Oval in Wingello on Saturday, March 27 Mittagong lost the toss and were sent into bat by Robertson.
Mittagong got off to a shaky start with their opening batsmen sent back to the pavilion with only nine runs.
With their confidence rattled, the next five batsmen put their heads down and scored steadily.
Mittagong's Tanak Ambarish scored 67 runs getting his team going.
After the 40 allocated overs Mittagong made 6/182.
Robertson started strongly, but with some great catches and steady bowling.
Tanak Ambarish stood up again and took 3/10.
Mittagong got the last wicket in the 26th over limiting Robertson in only scoring 105 runs.
In a great team effort, the Mittagong Cricket Club are 2020/21 premiers. Congratulations!
