Our show every Sunday in March and April (including Easter Sunday and an extra performance on Easter Monday) is "Z for Giraffe", a beautifully crafted puppet show based on a true story.
In 1826, a young giraffe (Zeraffa) was captured in Africa and sent as a gift from the Pasha of Egypt to the King of France. The people of France had never seen a giraffe before and she created quite a stir wherever she went. Charming people with her big dark eyes, this tall and graceful female became the darling of Paris and the muse of artists and fashion designers.Seamlessly alternating between different styles of puppetry, Z for Giraffe will take you on a mesmerising journey across river, sea and land.
