Southern Highlands VIEW Club will hold an International Women's Day dinner on March 8. This will be held at the Mittagong RSL Club and the guest speaker is Catherine McGrath.

Mrs McGrath was recently installed as a Dame of the Order of Saint Gregory the Great by the Vatican, Rome, for her work in the growth and development of women in Australia, Asia and the Pacific Region in particular in the areas of poverty, education, and human rights advancement.
The evening is scheduled for 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
VIEW members support the education of disadvantaged Australian children by raising much needed funds for The Smith Family by holding fundraising activities and social events in local communities.

Women's Day
Moss Vale Evening CWA in partnership with Wingecarribee Shire Council (Cath Brennan) will hold a women only breakfast to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8.
Cost is $35.00 per person with the event to be held at the Mittagong RSL Club. There will be three speakers and this year's theme is Women in Leadership.
International Women's day in 2021 has a theme of Women in Leadership#Choose to Challenge.
Three senior female students from each of the region's seven high schools have been invited to join the breakfast as guests.
The morning is an opportunity for local women to network, meet new friends, and enjoy the three local speakers, the hospitality of Mittagong RSL, and will be a step towards improving community cohesion in the Highlands.
The event is not aligned to any one community group and is not a fundraiser.
Bookings are essential through the Club, 4872 6700, @ $35.00, please let the reception staff know of any special dietary requirements.

Evening CWA
Southern Highlands Evening Branch of CWA NSW will hold its next meeting on March 4 at the Mittagong CWA rooms in Winifred West Park, Mittagong.
The meeting will begin at 6.30pm and will comply with Covid-19 public health guidelines.
All members and visitors are welcome.

World Day of Prayer
A special service will be held at the Mittagong Uniting Church at 10am on March 5 to mark World Day of Prayer.
Guest speaker will be Rev Daphne Roby. All interested people are welcome to attend. For forther information call Shoagh on 4871 1369
Line dancing fun
Line dancing is held at the Mittagong Seniors' Centre in Queen Street each Tuesday from 11.15am and is run by Janice for one hour.
Other activities at the centre include ukulele classes where participants can enjoy a ukelele singalong each Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 11.30 and a beginner's course at 11.30am on Thursdays for one hour.
A guitar singalong is held from 1pm on Thursdays called "Learning Guitar Through Chords and Songs".
The table game Rummikub is run on both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am and usually runs until 12.30pm.
The cost to join the seniors' club is $10 a year and daily fee is $3 which goes towards insurance and hall hire.

Anglicare pantry
The Anglicare community pantry will be available in the grounds of St Stephen's Church in Mittagong on March 5. The service is offered on a fortnightly basis.
Meanwhile a fresh food van will also be available once a month and will be available next on March 26.
Both services will operate from 10.30am to 11.30am.
While the dry foods pantry is available for all, those who attend the fresh food van must have a pension or health care card. The fresh food, which includes a loaf of bread, is only $2 a bag.
Meanwhile frozen meals donated by the Mittagong RSL Club will continue to be handed out freely.
St Stephen's Church is located on the corner or Main Street and Church Lane, Mittagong.
Folk dance
Do you love world music?
Now is your chance to learn about different cultures, their dance and costume traditions through folk dance classes.
These classes are led by an accredited Folk Dance Australia teacher.
They offer gentle exercise in a group environment and are suitable for beginners and seniors.
The classes are held at the Bowral Presbyterian Church hall in Bendooley Street, Bowral, on Thursdays from 11.30am to 12.30pm.
Newcomers are welcome and no partners are needed.
