Where to start?
40km zones - schools are back and 40km zones are in force, some have whopping big flashing lights to remind us, and some have less obvious methods.
Pay attention and always drive to your surroundings.
Parents - kids under 10 years of age should be made to hold an adult's hand when walking anywhere near a roadway, especially crossing a road or in carparks.
Kids over the age of 10 should be closely supervised by an adult, make them hold your hand to cross the roadway.

L Platers - here's a tip for parents: try and get your night-time hours done during winter, going for a drive during winter at 7pm is easier than waiting until 10pm in summer. Plus enjoy it, they learn a lot more than how to drive.
P Plate Drivers - Slow down, you will get there. As for majority of you, well done keep it up.
Aged Drivers - all NSW drivers need to be medically fit and competent to drive.
If you are an older driver or you have a medical condition, get checked. Speak with family, friends or a doctor about your driving.
Pedestrian - Take an extra moment to check out your surroundings. I was recently caught out by a new electronic car that snuck up on me.
Always look before you step out, use a pedestrian crossing, always cross as if a driver hasn't seen you.
Be careful on rainy days and during times of darkness. Don't forget that some drivers don't know what blinkers are.
Mobile Phones - $349.00 for a professional photograph of you and your car, and free with no extra charge the loss of 5 demerit points. Optional extra can include speeding, seatbelt and other infringements.
It is the start of a new year. Be careful and try not to do any harm to anyone.
Road Safety, Road Safety, Road Safety.
