The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released data on the number of income earners, amounts received, and the distribution of income for the 2017 to 2018 financial year.

The median income for earners in the Wingecarribee Local Government Area was $44,735. This had increased from $43,171 the year before.
The median age of earners in the region was 49 years old with a total of $1,870,611,314 earnt in the 2017/18 financial year.
Nationwide. median personal income was $49,805, up three per cent on the 2016-17 financial year.
The Australian Capital Territory continued to record the highest median total income of $64,332.
In 2017-18, the three local government areas with the highest median total income in Australia were: Ashburton in Western Australia, Roxby Downs in South Australia, and Peppermint Grove in Western Australia.
