The Sound of Blue

There's nothing blue about the Sound of Blue exhibition at the Sturt Gallery.
The exhibition brings together artists in celebration of colours blue and white and includes ceramics, textiles, glass, furniture, photography and printmaking.
Artists include Amy Kennedy, Keiko Matsui, Emma Peters, Julie Shepherd, Annika Romeyn Grant Donalds and many more.
The colours blue and white have a long history that can be dated back to the Ancient Egypt and has been found in many cultures throughout history. Artists continue to be inspired by this colour and are finding new and contemporary ways to create in various mediums.
Summer Fair

Forgoing the usual Christmas gallery, SHAC has decided to extend its Christmas celebrations right through to January and show off the best of the best.
From mosiacs to furniture, water colours and more - there's plenty to see at the SHAC. Featuring artists include Lisa O'Neil, Rachel Moodie, Kathie Najar, Grant Parker, Andy Wallace and more.
Virtual Guided Wine Tasting With Tractorless Vineyard

Virtual guided wine tasting is perfect for when you want to treat yourself without having to leave the house.
Held every Saturday, be sent 10 50 ml samples of wine from Tractorless Vineyard and join winemaker Jeff as he virtually guides you through Tractorless Wines.
The experience goes for approximately 60 minutes and cost $40 for two people.

Gruffalo at the Illawarra Fly

Embark on the self-led Gruffalo Spotters Trail available every day of the school holidays at Illawarra Fly, using the free Gruffalo Spotters 2 app. Then, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday of the holidays, meet The Gruffalo himself onsite at Illawarra Fly.
Available at 11.30am and 1.30pm, The Gruffalo will be at the start of the Treetop Walk to say hello, take photos with and hand out special stickers.
The Gruffalo experience is included in price of Treetop Walk and will be available through to to January 26, 2021. The cost will be adults from $22.50 and children from $13.50. Visit illawarrafly.com to book.

ImaginArta free workshops

Get ready for a free workshop doing something fun and positive, focusing on an often forgotten victim of fires - insects.
A collaboration between ImaginArta and Mental Gallery, the free workshops will be overseen by Steve Coupe and Sue Wallace from the Sydney Puppet Theatre, writer Tanya Ford and recording artist and gallery curator Sergei Netchaef.
In the eight sessions participants will design, build, write about, record and exhibit their bugs which may be realistic or completely fanciful.
The creative workshop is for children aged seven years and above, teenages, adults and families from the Southern Highlands.
There will be for components to the workshop:
- Design and build a puppet or sculpture of a local insect with Steve Coupe and Sue Wallace at ImaginArta Puppet Centre. The dates are Jan 11, 12, 13, 18 and 19 from 10 am to 12 noon.
- Write about their insect with Jess Raschke at MENTAL Gallery. The dates are Jan 21 and 22 from 10 am to 1 pm - 2 sessions to write with Jess Raschke at MENTAL Gallery, Bong Bong St, Bowral.
- Record people's voices reading all or elements of their stories with Sergei Netchaef at MENTAL Gallery. TBC
- Display the works at MENTAL Gallery
ImaginArta also have shows every Sunday at 11 am and have added shows on January 28 and 29 at 11 am for the whole family to enjoy.

ReFrame's School holiday program
The school holiday program will kick off from January 4, 2021.
Monday: Music group 4 pm - 6 pm
Come in and practice your instrument or try one of ReFrame's. You can learn from peers and make new friends to jam with.
Tuesday: The Patch 4 pm - 5:30 pm
Enjoy the outdoors at ReFrame's community garden. Learn how to successfully grow your own food and pick up a variety of outdoor skills.
Wednesday: Art group 4 pm - 5pm and Show me the money 4 - 6 pm
Art group will be run out of 5 Wingecarribee Street, Bowral and is a great place to relax and great creative with friends.
At the new ReFrame premise on Station Street, 'show me the money' will help you budget and look for work as your write resumes and apply for jobs.
Thursday: ReFramer gamers 4 pm - 6 pm
A social group for gamers to challenge each other and build skills through a common interest and have fun along the way.
Friday: Movie night 4 pm - 6pm
Friday's are all about relaxing on at ReFrame so why not stop by and watch a movie with friends and catch up at the end of the week. Get in to the spirit, pop some popcorn and settle in.
Red Cow Farm Open Garden
- 7480 Illawarra Highway, Sutton Forest, daily between 10 am - 3:30 pm
Open every day Red Cow Farm is a unique cool climate garden set on 2.5 hectares in Sutton Forest and open from 10am to 3.30pm through to May 30, 2021.
Only eight people will be allowed in one group. The admission cost will be $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and groups and $5 for children (4-14 years).
