The Bowral Show was to be held over January 9 and 10 at the Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse.
It is the second year in a row that the Bowral Show has been cancelled.
Last year the show was cancelled due to the bushfires which affected the Southern Highlands.
In a Facebook post on the Bowral Show Society Page, president Peter Howard said the decision to cancel was "regretful".
"On behalf of Bowral Show Inc. we regretfully advise the 2021 Bowral Show will be cancelled," the post read.
"Due to the uncertainty of the current state of Covid 19 affecting the greater Sydney area/Wollongong and Canberra, which all surrounds Bowral, our committee has decided that the potential public health risk that this poses, is too much of a risk to the local community.
"Based on this we have regretfully resolved to cancel the Bowral Show for 2021."
Bowral Show Society was contacted for comment.
