From the serious film buff to families looking for some light-hearted entertainment, there'll be something for everyone.
It's almost school holidays and already there's some great movies out for the kids.
The War with Grandpa has already proved a hit with Highlanders.
Kids will also be looking forward to Dragon Rider, The Witches and Monster Hunter.
Wonderwoman 1984 will hit the screens on Boxing Day, as will a preview season of NOMADLAND and The Croods.
Serious movie buffs will enjoy The Dry, starring Eric Bana (in cinemas New Year's Day) and Penguin Bloom with Naomi Watts along with Ammonite, Words on Bathroom Walls and Summerland.
And if you're looking for a festive movie, the Empire has the perfect holiday romantic comedy - Happiest Season.
There will also be a special Christmas Eve screening of Die Hard.
Empire Cinema co-owner Gerard Aiken said they were currently at 75 per cent capacity and hoped it would increase in the new year.
"We look forward to seeing everyone here to do what we do best - entertaining the Highlands," he said.
"The support of the community has been great."
Empire Cinema will also run screenings of Home Alone for its 30th anniversary.
Australian film High Ground will premiere on January 28 but there will be special advance screenings on Australia Day.
And for music lovers, make sure you catch The Bee Gees: How can you mend a Broken Heart, which is in its last week.
Looking to 2021, some much anticipated films will be released.
Peter Rabbit 2 is set to hit screens in March along with Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
The new James Bond film will premiere on April 1 and Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled for release on July 1.
