To spark a conversation, raise awareness and celebrate the month that changes the face of men's health, students and staff wore their funkiest socks with their normal school uniform to school on Thursday November 26, 2020.
Students and staff were also invited to rock their best moustache on the day too in the form of a stick on, prop, costume if they couldn't grow one themselves.
The Brotoes sock day is in its second year and has already surpassed its 2019 fundraising total and was organised by Mr Vandenbergh.
Students and staff who chose to wear funky socks made a gold coin donation towards the Movember foundation raising $631.00.
So far the MVHS Movember team has raised close to $2000 through the sale of the funky Brotoes socks and kind donations from family, friends and the local community. The school is grateful for all the support it has received.
Every cent raised goes directly to the Movember Australia charity.
It's time we "pull up our socks" on the issues that face our young boys and men and these funky socks certainly are helping, as they spark a conversation, raise awareness of important issues and further help change the face of men's health.

Sadly, due to COVID, the Bronut (donut) sale did not go ahead this year, but the school looks forward to its return 2021.
