The move will occur on Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10.
Patients, staff and all required equipment will be moved to the new building during the two days.
Services will be unavailable to visitors during these times.
Visitors should allow at least two hours for each move to take place before visiting patients in the new building.
Service move details:
Wednesday December 9
- 8am Emergency Department (ED). New Emergency Department operational from 8am. All patients in existing ED prior to 8am will be reviewed as normal process and all new presentations from 8am will go to new ED on Ground Level of new building.
- 9am Milton Park medical/surgical adult inpatient unit. 50 per cent of patients to be transferred to inpatient unit (IPU) on Ground Level of new building.
Thursday December 10
- 8am Milton Park medical/surgical adult inpatient unit. Remaining patients to be transferred to inpatient unit (IPU) on Level 1 of new building.
- 10am High dependency unit. Patients moved to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Level 1 of new building.
- 12pm Paediatric unit. Patients moved to Paediatrics department on Level 2 of new building.
- 2pm Maternity unit. Patients moved to Maternity department on Level 2 of new building.
All services will be operational in the new clinical services building from December 10, with the former Emergency Department, Milton Park Wing and Children's Ward closed from this date.
