Florence was joined by family and friends for the special occasion which included lunch at a Highlands hotel before heading to her Bowral home for at toast with celebratory bubbles, afternoon tea and the cutting of the birthday cake.

Florence, who hails from Yorkshire, attributes her longevity to a non-smoking, no alcohol simple healthy lifestyle, plus keeping herself active.
She continues to be involved in activities at St Jude's Church and a craft group where she helps make teddy bears for hospitalised children.
Florence is also a keen gardener.
It was only when she was in her mid-nineties that Florence finally relinquished her volunteer role at St Vincent de Paul Society, Bowral, where she worked for almost two decades.
