"If you're in a position to donate and to help out, it's definitely a good year to get involved," club spokeswoman Lillian Wareing said.

November is Movember, and staff members are growing their 'taches to raise funds and awareness for men's health.
Worldwide, men die nearly six years earlier than women. Movember aims to reduce the rate of male suicides by 25%; three out of four suicides in Australia are by men, while globally, one man dies by suicide every minute. Movember also aims to raise awareness about prostrate and testicular cancer - the most commonly diagnosed cancers in men.
"It's obviously a very serious cause - but it is something that you can have a bit of fun with," Ms Wareing said. "It gives the staff something to talk about amongst themselves - a bit of light-hearted humour with the mo's that we see kicking around the club this year."

The Mittagong RSL is also holding its annual Community Giving Tree to help Highlands families in need put presents under the tree and food on the table. The Salvation Army will distribute donations of toys and non-perishable food.
In years gone by, club members, local schools and businesses have generously supported the Tree; the Salvation Army has often made several trips to pick up donations, Ms Wareing said.
"This year, with COVID and the impact from bushfires still hanging around, the need for charity is a lot higher," Ms Wareing said. "People in need are really going to do it tough this Christmas. I think there are going to be a lot more than we've seen in the past. It's really important this year that we do our part."
Donations can be made up to Friday, December 18.
The Mittagong RSL Club is on the corner of Hume Hwy &, Bessemer St, Mittagong NSW 2575.
