A love for handcrafted objects and a desire to create with his own hands, Maurizio Nannetti turned to wood work in 2008.

He credits his favourite piece as the one next created.
Inspired by patterns in nature, Mr Nanetti said he enjoyed the colours, patterns and the scent of wood when it came to creating art work.
"I love to work with wood and steel and I sometimes combine the two," he said.
"Some of my pieces are ornamental and non functional, but I strive to incorporate an artistic slant to objects of everyday use to give a little extra joy to the final user.
"The creation process can be one day and up to three weeks."
Maurizio Nannetti will be exhibiting at Aussie Wood Art, 4 Sunninghill Ave, Burradoo.
