Hume Police District officers have received a "few" reports from several residents about suspected casing activity.
Police are investigating CCTV footage from members of the public as a part of their inquiries.
Sergeant Matt McCarthy advised residents to be vigilant, look out for neighbours and be aware of the "comings and goings of different people".
According to the latest Bureau of Crime Stastics and Research figures, there were three reports of home break and enters from June 2019 to June 2020.

Eyes on road safety
Southern Highlands Police have their sights set on traffic offences.
Sergeant Matt McCarthy said police have had success of late, particularly in Robertson, with the detection of drink and drug driving.
"Police are monitoring alcohol and drug-affected drivers," Sergeant McCarthy said.
"We expect to increase testing across the shire."
Police will have an increased presence on the roads throughout the Christmas and summer holiday period.
