One of them was Bundanoon Public School which put on a fantastic display.
The week celebrates books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.
Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
Bundanoon Public School played games like Book Hoopla, Pin the Tail on the Gruffalo and Book Trivia. Their library monitors rented themselves out to read stories to their classmates.
The school topped the day off with a Book Parade which even saw the teachers make an appearance as The Bad Guys!
The school community donated a ton of books to the Library.
Berrima Public School also held activities for the week.
