A truck driver charged over a fatal Menangle crash has had his case adjourned to a later date.

The matter was postponed for 45-year-old Brendon Paul Lidgard, of Lytton Road in Moss Vale, at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday, November 4.
This was to allow more time to prepare evidence. This will be presented at a date yet to be determined.

Police charged Mr Lidgard with nine offences in July this year, following a crash at the Frank Partridge Rest Area on Hume Highway, in which a child died and four people were injured.
Mr Lidgard was charged with the following:
- Dangerous driving occasioning death - drive manner dangerous
- Negligent driving occasioning death
- Four counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm - drive manner dangerous
- Negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm
- Driver not record prescribed information in written work diary
- Driver not use time zone of driver's base in work diary.
